We ordered the Hainanese Chicken, Shrimp Laksa Noodle, and Chicken Satay. As someone from Hainan, I must say that this is the best Hainanese chicken I’ve had. The chicken is not chewy; it’s tender. The sauce that comes with it is also perfect: a hint of a sweet taste that doesn’t overwhelm all the other flavours. The laksa and chicken satay were also pretty good, but nothing tops their Hainanese chicken.
Best Malaysian restaurant in Richmond! The roti canai was served piping hot, flaky and buttery and just perfect with the accompanying curry sauce. I’d also recommend dipping it in the beef rendang every dish was great, came out quickly, and service was warm and kind.
What a wonderful experience! The food was top notch and the service was amazing. We were unfamiliar with Malaysian food and the server was so kind taking the time to help us choose.
I tried Malaysian food for the first time, and it was amazing! You could just show my photos and order the same dishes—they were the perfect combination! It was also the ideal amount for four people, with reasonable prices, and the staff was so friendly. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!
There aren’t many good Malaysian restaurants in Vancouver, so whenever we’re craving for Malaysian cuisine, we’ll come to this place! John 3:16 serves authentic Malaysian taste with rich, savoury, and colourful dishes. We’ve tried many dishes from this place and every dish is delicious!
Very nice atmosphere. Booking a table was easy. Restaurant was not super busy but busy enough! Always attentive service. Food wad yummy. Orders several dishes and appetizers. Well priced. Spicy was good heat. Not too spicy and still enjoyable.
Place looks like you’re about to enter a storage room, it turns into a restaurant. This is our second time to visit the restaurant, first time was during the pandemic, take out only. Was yummy then, still yummy now. Nasi goreng, beef rendang, roti, chicken wings. Awesome! Friendly service too!
The food here is absolutely incredible and so rich with flavor. SERVICE: Great service! The wait time for the food was a very reasonable amount of time. ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere is very calming and relaxing. FOOD: Spectacular! Every plate was so flavorful, rich, and delicious. A 10/10 for everything we ordered.
